What beautiful pictures! Funny how such a delicate-looking flower can be strong enough to push through the ground — inching its way through soil, leaves and other winter debris with such little fuss.
What amazes me about the crocuses is that they were up and on the verge of blooming on January 20th. Then winter finally arrived and dumped a foot of snow on them. We had -20 temperatures for a week. When the snow melted, the crocuses looked as strong and fit as ever. Hardy little souls.
